Gopi Modi
Gopi’s character is very soft and very mature. She is a naive, docile, sweet, cute and a pretty innocent girl in her early 20s who was raised by her loving Mama and tyrannical mami after she lost her parents at an early age, Gopi has never found true love of a mother and craves the same love from her would be Mother-In-Law. She has a sweet sister named Pannah. Her only dream is to have a loving husband and in-laws. But her life is ruled by her Evil-minded Mami Urmilaben and street smart cousin Rashi who keep undermining her and have her kept like a servant. Gopi has no ambitions and is uneducated. She is married to Ahem Modi. Gopi had a makeover which made her look more prettier. At Holi, a drunk Gopi expresses her love for Ahem and puts gulaal(colored powder) on him which makes him furious. She is Gopi's cousin and is most likely in her early 20s and elder to Gopi by a few months. She always tries to make Gopi's life miserable and she is after the money of Modi House. She is hungry for money but she loves her husband who is unaware of her real intention to marry him. Kokila always finds out about her plans and foils them. She does not believe in any rights and rituals and is very full of herself.She calls Kokila as Kagadi and Kinjal as Choti Kagadi. She hates Gopi for unknown reasons and is jealous of her as Gopi is very much more capable and her husband has more money. She also tries to fool Gopi into doing wrong. She is a negative character. She is married to Jigar. She actually wanted to marry Ahem (Gopi's husband) but ended up marrying Jigar. Jigar loves and cares for her but was to marry somebody else named Sonal, but because Sonal mistook an affair between the couple Rashi ended up marrying Jigar so she can get the luxuries and fame, being their bahu(daughter in law). Rashi always tries to disturb Gopi and her in-laws along with her mother but their wicked plans almost always don't work out. Now they are planning to get out Gopi from Modi house as well as from Ahem's heart .

Ahem Modi
A boy of today’s age, around 27 years of age, is the son of Kokila Ben and Parakh Bhai. He is an workaholic , handsome and believes in himself. He is a mamma’s boy and blindly follows whatever his mother has to say to him. He is the one handling the entire Modi empire. He has a girlfriend, Anita who is loyal to him and they were in love. They wanted to get married, but due to his mother's happiness Ahem ends up marrying Gopi. He blames Gopi for losing Anita. He is very strong-headed like his mother, Kokila. He always asks Jigar to bring his file, or bring some document whenever Jigar plans to go out with Rashi. He always talks about nothing but some file or document. Also he leaves no chance to embarrass Gopi and never seems to love or even care for her. Now he have little love to Gopi because of her mom’s pushing.
Jigar Modi
He is a sweet, soft hearted and handsome boy, around 25 years of age, son of Hetal Ben and Chirag Bhai. Jigar adores his Baa (Grand-Mother) and can do anything for her. He is very fond of his mother but scared of his father. He is a little lazy but its more because he loves to take life as it comes. He is not hyper about things like his cousin Ahem, and takes it easy and he is also very good looking. He was supposed to get married to a girl named Sonal but under circumstances is married to Rashi. He always seems to put a smile on Gopi's face despite her miserable life. He is a sweet talker and cares for other's feelings. He also loves and cares for Rashi very much, unaware of her plans to disturb him and his family. But now he is little angry with Rashi because she called her mom from Switzerland by Ahem’s phone and Ahem was angry with both Jigar and Rashi that his bill became 80,000. (Assi hazar) .
